baby in handknits

I took advantage of my sleepover with Kaden this weekend and snapped a couple photos of him in my a couple of my knits. With his puke record I had to be quick... but I wasn't quick enough. He managed to snag my baby sophisticate. And my shawl, but that was my fault because I was burping him with it behind me -- note to self this is a bad idea.
Here's the little man in my Baby Surprise Jacket. Man, it is snug. I did the baby size and I know I am a tight knitter, but it is a bit smaller than I wanted it to be. He is only 12 pounds and it is small on him. With my luck our babies will come out nearly that size so it won't fit them for long. I think I will do my next one with a bit bigger needles. I have yarn left over from this one and I loved the pattern so I think another one is in order... hopefully it will end up being about a 3 month size.
And the Baby Sophisticate. Another fave. Kaden has a really long and chunky torso, but this 6-12 month knit fits him perfectly right now. I had to roll the arms up a bit to accommodate his short arms. The length is correct for the 6-12 month size, but it is probably a little more snug than intended due to my tight knitting. I still think it is adorable!
