My dear friend and hall mate, Shanna Curtin, asked me to drive home with her after school was out. So, I drove across the States to take her and her car, Peter, home. I'm not going to lie, it was so much fun. We are now in upstate New York getting ready to go to her father's reception so I really should go.
Highlights thus far have included:
- Wallace, Idaho
- Going to Mt. Rushmore and not being able to see the sculptures because it was way to foggy
- Niagara Falls
- Sioux Center Iowa
- Shanna having SO MUCH gas!
- Being on empty on the highway and praying for a gas station
- Not being able to see because there was a huge downpour
Anyway... those are a few. Shanna and I are going to New York City tomorrow and I fly home on Tuesday.

Mill Lake... and other recent events...
Well school is beginning to finish up here. As always it seems to have gone by so fast! Too fast! Anyways. On Friday Deanne, Brittani, Shanna and I went and had a picnic at Mill Lake. It was an absolutely beautiful day and it was so much fun! We drove through various parking lots trying to find a spot and we couldn't so we parked a ways away from the park. When we got there, though, we saw an open spot so Shanna and I sat there and waited while Deanne and Brittani ran and got the car. It was hilarious! We had a nice little picnic and then came back to CBC.
On Thursday night I went to a Tenebrae service at Erik's church. It was really good. Then I went to a Seder... (sp ???)... on Friday night at his friend/associate pastors house. I've never been to one of those. It was like... a Messianic version of the Jewish Passover thing they do in Israel. Reading and drinking coupled with eating. It was really interesting actually.
On Saturday, our school hosted a community barbecue. We had a fire truck come, and there were relays, crafts, face painting, games, food... it was a lot of fun. I was in charge of relays and I'm pretty sure we had approximately 10 kids come the entire day to our area. It was sad... but fun when they did show up.
Yesterday I went to Erik's church again. It was actually really neat. We were all given a paper butterfly thing when we walked in and then there was a part in the service where we were all given the opportunity to attach it to the cross that was at the front. It had elasticy string around it and we attached the butterflies by their antennae. It looked sweet at the end! It was all colorful and full of butterflies. It was awesome. We went to my Auntie Ange's afterwards for good times... and food. I flippin love that family! It was so fun!
Anyway... Pictures...
